In parallel with the launch of the initial automotive programs, HUSCO began developing an electro-hydraulic, independent metering control system for off-highway equipment. This system (which was branded "INCOVA" - INtelligent COntrol VAlve) reflected a radical change from the traditional "spool valves" used to control the majority of today's off-highway equipment. The INCOVA system provides a wide range of benefits including dramatically improved fuel efficiency, faster cycle times with improved controllability, improved uptime & diagnostics, and electronically tunable operating modes. INCOVA is currently in serial production on the John Deere TMC Backhoe and JLG AccuPlace Telehandler. Development programs are underway for many other types of off-highway equipment including Excavators, Cranes, Wheel Loaders and Forestry Equipment.

The creation of INCOVA Technologies as an independent subsidiary encompassing both the HUSCO Automotive and INCOVA businesses was the result of a strategic planning process that took place in the fall of 2007. At that time, it became clear to HUSCO's executive leadership that a new organizational structure was required to enable the company to fully realize the substantial growth potential of these two businesses. The formation of ITI has created an enterprise with absolute focus on achieving HUSCO’s aggressive growth objectives for these two businesses.

Today, high fuel prices and growing sensitivity to environmental issues are forcing automotive and off-highway OEMs to re-evaluate their product architecture and technology. ITI is ideally positioned to partner with market leaders as they develop the next-generation vehicle technologies that will be the backbone of future product platforms.
